Shelving is a highly useful element in this context. As we have discussed on previous occasions, it is a versatile and functional storage system, and these same qualities are replicated in cold rooms or sub-zero storage facilities.<\/p>\n<h2><strong>What regulations govern the inspection of shelving in cold logistics?<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p><strong>There is no specific regulation regarding the technical inspection of racks in cold storage warehouses.<\/strong>. The truth is that the inspection of these elements, as we have pointed out in previous posts, generates some controversy. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.inspeccionalmacenes.com\/servicios\/normativa\">UNE EN 15635 standard<\/a> stipulates that shelving must be inspected at least once every twelve months by a qualified external agent. At TICE, from logic and common sense, we recommend that our clients carry out these <a href=\"https:\/\/www.grupo-tice.com\/en\/areas\/warehouse-safety\/inspeccion-tecnica-almacenes-ita\/\">technical inspections<\/a>, Well, shelving, including that located in cold rooms, is considered work equipment; and there are national and European regulations governing such equipment, highlighting the obligation to subject them to periodic inspections.<\/p>\n<p>Furthermore, <strong>The aim is to guarantee safety in the refrigerated warehouse's work, and the integrity of the machinery and merchandise.<\/strong>, the best way is to periodically confirm that the shelves located there are in perfect condition.<\/p>\n<h2><strong>What needs to be considered during the technical inspection of shelving in cold logistics?<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>At first glance, there may not appear to be a big difference between shelving located in an ordinary warehouse and shelving integrated into a freezer chamber, but this single inequality is where the main factor to consider lies: temperature.<\/p>\n<p>Cold rooms are subjected to extreme temperatures, which can reach as low as -30\u00b0. Therefore, the work equipment placed inside must be prepared to withstand low temperatures.
